The building, though, has been put to use by multiple owners over the years. Along with serving as a popular tourist stop run by Scopes Trial juror Jess Goodrich and his wife, the stately brick structure served as housing for many of Bryan College’s women and married students until 1984.

Today Cedar Hill functions as an apartment complex.
